Ia Khakhutaishvili holds the academic position of an Associated Professor at TMA from 2017, as well as serves as the Head of the Anatomy/Histology/Embryology Department.
Dr. Khakhutaishvili has graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Institute of Critical Medicine  in 2002. In 2006 she completed a postgraduate degree at the A. Natishvili Institute of Experimental Morphology, with specialization in “Anatomy”.  Also, during 2006 she was awarded with a PhD in Medical Sciences in internal diseases. Dr. Khakhutaishvili holds state certificates in following medical specializations: „Internal Medicine “  and „Cardiology“.
Ia Khakhutaishvili has published 27 scientific works, is contributing co-author of 2 handbooks and translation editor of 1 handbook.
In order to ensure continuous professional development, she attends and takes active participation at both national and international conferences.
